Plumbing System
|
Description
The plumbing system in the home is composed of a system that brings
freshwater in and a system that takes wastewater out. The water that enters into
the home has enough pressure to enable it to travel upstairs, around corners and
to other areas of the home. As water enters into the home, it passes through a meter
that registers the usage amount.

Maintenance Checklist
• Only flush toilet paper down a toilet. Refrain from throwing all other paper products
to avoid stoppages.
• Follow specifications to maintain water softeners from the manufacturer.
• Know the location of the main water and gas shut-off valves.
• Periodically inspect the water supply and drain lines for leakage.
• Make sure all plumbing fixtures are firmly secured.
• Be sure piping in areas such as crawl spaces and outside of the home are protected
from freezing.
